The campaign for more publicly accessible AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators), championed by Andrew and local councillors, has taken a step forward. A site for the publicly accessible defibrillator in Airmyn, which Andrew and local Councillors, John Barrett and Caroline Fox, raised money for, has now been found. New Drainage Dyke for Goole?

Andrew recently met with a representative of the Goole and Airmyn Drainage Board to discuss drainage in the Ivy Park area of Goole. The site meeting was organised after residents raised the prospect of what appears to be a disused drainage dyke, being re-opened to better protect them from flooding. Local MP, Andrew Percy, and local councillors welcomed the Secretary of State for Health, Rt Hon Jeremy Hunt MP, to Goole & District Hospital this week to meet with staff and discuss progress at the Trust. Andrew, Cllr John Briggs and local campaigner and Town councillor Julie Reed are calling for action against speeding vehicles on Wharf Road in Crowle.  Recent monitoring on the road showed an average speed of 39.4mph. 7,462 vehicles use this road every day and of those, 1,652 were travelling 35-40mph, 661 were 40-45mph, 228 were 45-50mph, 67 were 50-55mph, 23 were 55-60mph, 9 were 60-65mph and 3 were 65-70mph.
