Clampdown on Illegal Foreign Drivers

Andrew is celebrating victory after the announcement of a Government clampdown on illegal foreign drivers who flout the law, in response to his campaign on the issue.  Andrew first raised this in September 2012 when he was shocked to discover the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency were not recording which vehicles entered the country, making the mandatory registration of vehicles after six months unenforceable. It is estimated that 350,000 drivers flout this law, costing the Treasury £60m in lo...

Andrew joins the fight against IPF in parliament.

In July this year, just before parliament broke for the summer and MPs headed back to our constituencies, I was given the opportunity to meet with the British Lung Foundation to talk about a rare lung condition called idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis – otherwise known as IPF. It had been an especially busy time for me in the House of Commons. I had spoken in parliamentary debates on a number of important topics including schools, hospitals, foreign policy, and the railways. But when the BLF brought...
