Happy New Year

Happy New Year

I've absolutely hated 2020 so there isn't much to say except thank goodness it is over. It really has been a cesspit of a year! Lets all tiptoe quietly into 2021 and as somebody sent me recently, "Nobody claim 2021 as 'your year'. We're all gonna walk in real slow." Let's not anger it!  This has been an awful year for so many and the impacts of this pandemic will be felt around the world for years to come. We have to stay positive though and hope 2021 will be a better year. The vacci...

Canal Breach - Aerial Views

Andrew has provided a further update on the canal breach below.  Andrew reports: Some interesting aerial views sent to me via Mark from the Goole Aerial Views Facebook page who was down at the site with a drone earlier.  What you can't see from this is the depth of the breach or the whirlpool which is apparently below the surface suggesting a quite significant breach which they tell me is actually some way up from where the bank collapse is and where the water is coming out. What you can't...

Canal Breach - Update (27/12/2020, 12pm)

Andrew has provided the following canal beach update on Facebook: Canal Breach I have had a few messages from residents regarding the breach and the fact that water is still coming out of the canal. Thank you to those who have raised this out of genuine concern, it is sad to see some on other blogs choosing to attack me on the issue. All I have tried to do is help. I have and will continue to press the agencies, push for action but I cannot force anyone to do anything. I have s...
