Petition Launched against Labour's Local NHS Cuts

Parliamentary Spokesman Andrew Percy has launched a petition against Labour's local NHS cuts. Recent months have seen the announcement of ward closures at Goole Hospital, an unpopular re-organisation of mid-wifery services and the rationing of services from Scunthorpe Hospital.

Andrew says, "Why should people continue to pay more in tax but see less back in services. We recently lost the NHS Dentist in Snaith where the local Labour MP seems to think people should be happy to be treated by a mobile dentist! This really is a step backwards; with people paying more in tax we should be seeing an increase in local helath provision not a reduction.

In addition to this our Health Trusts are millions of pounds in debt with the Government demanding millions of pounds back from the trusts. Too much money in our hospitals is spent on administration and managers. I want money spent on front line staff and our doctors and nurses given a greater say over the running of our hospitals and clinics.
I urge as many residents as possible to join my campaign to save our local NHS."
