Andrew recently met with Scunthorpe MP Holly Mumby-Croft and North Lincs Council Leader Rob Waltham to welcome the £1M Town Deal funding for Scunthorpe.
Andrew explains, "Was great to join my neighbour Holly Mumby-Croft MP and Council Leader, Rob Waltham, to celebrate the news that the Government is providing £1 million of Town Deal funding to be spent this year for Scunthorpe town centre.
"Goole is receiving £750,000 (smaller population and town) from the same fund too. Both towns were one of 101 town selected for up to £25 million of funding each from the Conservative Government's Town Deal Fund. I campaigned hard to get us included in this list.
"We have brought some of this funding available immediately, as I previously reported, to help boost the local economy now and to get improvements started this year. More news will follow on this.
"As a Government residents may also have seen that we have cut VAT by 15% for the hospitality sector and in August a new £10 eat out to help out voucher will be available."
