We have received the below update from Morrisons regarding two options for support available to vulnerable customers to help get food quickly.
-Morrisons have launched a dedicated phone service for customers who are self-isolating, elderly, vulnerable and not able to visit a shop. They can order from a list of around 45 essential items (including milk, bread, fruit and hearty ready meals) which are picked at their local store and delivered directly from the store with payment taken at the doorstep. To place an order, calls need to be made to their dedicated team on 0345 611 6111, selecting option 5.
-Alternatively, Morrisons’ Food Boxes are also still available and have been specially designed for those people that are self-isolating. The boxes contain essential household products and fresh foods which can be ordered online through https://www.morrisons.com/food-boxes/ and delivered by courier to the customer’s door. We understand that they are delivering 100,000 boxes per week and working flat out to double this capacity in the coming weeks.
Please do share this information with anyone who you think could benefit from this support, along with the Brigg & Goole and Isle of Axholme Support Group scheme that we have set up: http://www.andrewpercy.org/news/1867-andrew-and-councillors-launch-support-service
