Andrew has provided the below update on the Swinefleet 4R Application on his Facebook page. You can find the original Facebook post and the letter Andrew mentions online here: https://www.facebook.com/andrewpercyofficial/. Please also see the bottom of this page for an update on the deadline from Andrew.
As promised, I have posted below my objection letter to the 4R development for the waste centre at Swinefleet. Please feel free to use some of the issues I have raised in it in your own letters.
I cannot stress this enough, it is important that as many residents as possible make their own individual submissions DIRECTLY to the Council. Online petitions only count as one submission and the Council informed us that people submitting comments by way of third party online forms caused them lots of issues last time.
We want all submissions to be counted and considered so these should be sent directly to the Council by way of one of the contact points below.
HOW TO MAKE YOUR VIEWS KNOWN
Please send your comments to the Council by one of the means below quoting application number 20/00883/CM.
Planning and Development Management Team
East Riding of Yorkshire Council
County Hall, Cross Street,
Search using the application number above via the planning portal: https://www.eastriding.gov.uk/planning-permission-and-building-control/applications-for-planning-and-building-control/view-and-comment-on-planning-applications/
We face a real uphill battle this time as although the Independent Planning Inspector upheld the Council's decision to oppose the application last time, he also dismissed most of our objections and set out a way in which the application could be approved. Despite winning the appeal, the Independent Inspector awarded costs against the Council and in favour of 4R!
Despite that, we cannot allow 4R to benefit from the current issues which limit how much physical campaigning people can do against this application.
4R Deadline Update
As residents may remember, I asked for an extension to this planning application for this unwanted waste treatment site at Swinefleet.
The Council have now come back to me to confirm that an extension will occur because, due to the coronovirus issues, they have not been able to erect as planned the site notices required in law which start the clock ticking on submissions.
This means we now have longer to get objections and other comments in to the Council. As such, if you have not already done so, please submit your objections.
