National Apprenticeship Week (NAW) is taking place this week from 3-9th February.
This is an annual campaign which aims to raise awareness of the opportunities that apprenticeships can bring and how they can be a successful career path for people of all ages.
Andrew adds, "The theme this year is ‘Look Beyond’ - encouraging employers and potential apprentices to set aside the outdated myths surrounding apprenticeships and to see the fantastic benefits and opportunities apprenticeships can provide."
There will be a number of NAW events taking place this week throughout the country and on social media, including an #AskAnApprentice Q&A on Twitter today, along with an #AskAnEmployer Q&A tomorrow. Both Q&A’s run from 12 to 2pm – follow the hashtags on Twitter to join in.
Moreover, local employers can get involved by holding their own Q&A session with current apprentices, or by welcoming prospective apprentices, parents or teachers for a tour of their workplace.
