This week sees the UK’s biggest annual celebration of children’s books: World Book Day.
Andrew explains, "Every year, World Book Day curates a list of bespoke £1 books for children and young people across the UK, which they can choose for free at their local bookshop using their £1 World Book Day book token.
"This year, the campaign is encouraging parents and carers to read and share stories with their children for ten minutes every day, with the aim to inspire new reading habits in both children and adults."

Andrew adds, "As you may be aware, I also brought the Imagination Library scheme to our area with the same aim as the World Book Day campaign. It’s incredibly important for a child’s development to get them reading early and cost should never be a barrier for children who want to read and enjoy books."
