Another bit of good news for Junction 36 and jobs at Goole with Croda announcing plans to build a new warehouse on the Junction 36 site. This has been in the offing for some time and has now been made public.
Whilst it will involve the relocation of their current warehouse from Thorne it will mean some new jobs, including skilled jobs, will be created as part of this £7 million investment.
I was so happy as a Minister to sign the Enterprise Zone agreement for this site which makes the land very investable and we are seeing rapid take up of the sites. With Siemens, the biomass company and now Croda all choosing the site, it is clear Goole is the place to do business.
As well as new jobs at the site once completed, there will also be job opportunities in the construction phase.
