Disabled Toilet Fixed!
Wednesday, 04 August 2010 00:00

g_disabled_facilities_at_Goole_s_new_toiletsGood news on the disabled toilets at Escourt Street in Goole. I've now had a second letter confirming the works that have been completed to improve the toilets for disabled users. The concerns were originally raised by users and supported by Goole Councillor Jean Kitching and Snaith, Airmyn and Rawcliffe Ward Councillor Caroline Fox.

Caroline and I went down to see the problems for ourselves with one of the users (see photo). I then took it up with Cllr Ros Jump who is responsible for these issues at East Riding Council. She acted quickly and I am pleased to say many of the problems have been rectified.

Alas due to site location and the footprint not all of them can be fixed but this is a good start. We shall monitor the situation closely however.
