Election Campaign Update

If you click HERE you should be able to see an update on our local election campaigning from me!

We are pretty busy so the blogging is on the back burner for now.

Candidates in place!

I am delighted that in the Brigg and Goole constituency the Conservatives will be standing candidates in every ward. We go in to the election defending 12 Council seats against Labour's 6 and the Lib Dem's 3.

I am very hopeful that we will make gains in a number of wards, the candidates in the Burringham and Gunness and the Snaith, Airmyn and Rawcliffe Wards are getting fantastic results from two wards which have not in the past received the attention they should!

Budget Bad for Goole

Sorry for the delay in posting of late, been very very busy leafletting in our target wards, gathering signartures and more importantly working on tens of thousands of target surveys and letters. We really are getting masses out and, more importantly, we are getting a huge response!

Anyways on to the Budget. My opponent was in last weeks saying that we should all be delighted with the budget. Well forgive me but as 1 in 5 families will be worse off, as East Riding and North Lincolnshire schools receive well before the national average in pupil funding and as people on salaries of £18k or less will be worse off, I can't help but think that the budget was not good news for the Brigg and Goole constituency.

A shameless act of political spin by the current MP can't cover up the fact that people are sick and tired of this corrupt bunch who are presently governing us. The number of surveys back from residents saying they voted Labour last time but never again is staggering.
